2022 MSCE results out with 58.4% pass rate

Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Malawi National Examination Board (MANEB) on Friday 2nd December, 2022 announced the 2022 Malawi School Certificate of Education ( MSCE) examination results with a 52.47 percent pass rate.

Announcing the results at Crossroads Hotel in Lilongwe, Minister of Education, Agnes NyaLonje said the results hailed the results as positive.

Nyalonje has since commended MANEB for the successful administration of the MSCE examinations which she described leakage free.

MANEB Executive Director Dorothy Nampota says out of 152, 391 candidates who sat for examination 84, 242 have passed representing 58.44 percent pass rate.

She further indicates that out of the 70,102 female candidates who sat for the examination 36,795 have passed representing 52.47 percent pass rate.

Out of 77, 845 male candidates who sat for the examination 49, 682 have passed representing 63.82 percent pass rate.

Nampota revealed that out of the top 10 schools, two Government National Secondary Schools, Dedza Secondary School and Lilongwe Girls Secondary School came out tops.

Zomba Urban 68.4%
Likoma 66.67%
Dowa 65.67%
Phalombe 64.45%
Mzuzu City 63.71%
Dedza 63.11%
Karonga 61.87%
Mulanje 61.12%
Ntchisi 60.98%
Nkhatabay 60.20%.
