President Lazarus Chakwera has refuted reports that all is not well between him and his vice Saulos Chilima.
The reports followed the speech Chakwera delivered during the swearing-in ceremony of ministers he has just hired in his cabinet, in which he among others, told them to be reporting directly to him, and no-one else – being the one who appointed them as ministers.
Missing at the event was Vice President Saulos Chilima.
This to some sections of society was a hint that all was not well between the top two citizens, as has also been observed by – George Phiri – a political analyst.
But speaking to MIJ, Sean Kampondeni, Director Communications at State House-said reports that there is a lift between the president and his vice are baseless, saying evidence is there that the alliance between Chakwera and Chilima is intact.
