President Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has challenged Malawians to develop new attitude if the dream of Malawi Vision 2063 is to be realized.
President Chakwera said this on Thursday during the launch of the Theologian Society of Malawi at Bingu International Convention Centre in Lilongwe. The Malawi leader said there is a need for every Malawian to take part in shaping the future of Malawi people want instead of pouncing on government mistakes
He said: “As such, if we are going to achieve or attain the new objectives we have outlined as a nation in Malawi 2063, we need a new kind of citizen with a new thinking and a new way of seeing the world.”
The Malawi President expressed his gratitude for the formation of the Theologian Society saying that that it has come at a critical time when the country needs spiritual help in embracing the said new thinking.
“I am therefore delighted that the Theologian Society of Malawi has come at a critical time in our nation, to help us move forward with right thinking instead of always walking backwards because of wrong thinking,” he said.
According to the available information, the society discusses emerging theological issues that are of great concern, shares experience and encourages exchange visits in member institutions.
