President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera who has been on a five day official visit to Belgium and Switzerland is expected back in the country on Thursday through Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe.
While in Geneva-Swittzerland, President Chakwera fulfilled a number of engagements top on his agenda – developing the country and assisting families that were affected by Cyclone Anna.
Chakwera held bilateral talks with organizations’ heads in his quest to woo investors and donors, including Dr. Tedros Adhanom Chebreyesus who is the Director General of the World Heath Organization (WHO) and His Excellency Federico Villegas, President of the United Nations Human Rights Council.
The president also had meetings with World Council of Churches, Philips Amon(Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of SICPA), and Peter Sands who is Executive Director of the Global Fund.
