President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera and Rwandan President had the privilege of co-chairing a private sector forum at the World Economic Forum.
This was one of the most important sessions that is working at trying to bring Africa on board into the global economic platform, not as a dependent but a key players.
The breakfast session was specifically aimed at engaging and orienting private sector players from around the world on the investment and trade opportunities presented by the African Continental Free Trade Area.
After the breakfast session the two leaders held bilateral discussions.
In their bilateral meeting, the two leaders agreed to work together in boosting trade between the two countries.
Presidents Chakwera and Kagame also resolved to ensure that the Joint Permanent Commission of Cooperation between Malawi and Rwanda moves forward to conclude various memoranda of understanding aimed at strengthening ties between the two countries, not only in trade but also in Agriculture, Diplomacy, Security, and Development.
