President Lazarus Chakwera on Friday met Mozambican Speaker of Parliament Esperança Bias where they discussed a range of issues around strengthening mutual relationships between the legislatures of the two countries.
Chakwera is Mozambique for a four day state visit.
The two also discussed various ways of strengthening the legislative framework for regional integration within the Southern Africa Development Community (SADC).
Thereafter, the President held a conference with a cross-section of Malawians living in Mozambique, whose presentation to the President included highlights of opportunities Malawi can leverage for its development on the platform of the cordial bilateral relations President Chakwera has successfully and masterfully established with Mozambique’s President Filipe Nyusi and Government.
Chakwera has undertaken a number of engagements since his arrival.
