Malawi President Dr Lazarus Chakwera will on Monday open the Africa Bar Association at the Bingu International Conference Center Auditorium.
According to the press statement from the Office of President and Cabinet signed by Secretary to the Cabinet Madam Colleen Zamba, the function is expected to start at 9am.
“His Excellency Dr. Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera, President of the Republic of Malawi, will preside over the official opening ceremony for the African Bar Association Annual General Conference at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC)
Auditorium, Lilongwe,” reads the statement in part.
AFBA was established in 1971 as a professional body uniting individual lawyers and national legal associations in Africa. The African Bar Association (AFBA) was designed to be a federation of national legal associations, corporate and unincorporated legal entities, and individual lawyers.
According to Hannibal Uwaifo, President of the African Bar Association, the forth coming conference , is another opportunity for Lawyers, Judges, Politicians, the Business community and experts from all fields of endeavor to gather dissect and proffer solutions to the myriad of challenges confronting Africa especially good transparent governance, security and the rule of law.
