He advised the elevated chiefs to continue working with zeal and dedication towards development projects and desist from corruption when discharging their duties.
“We have all seen and bear witness that President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is dedicated to fighting corruption in the country as evidenced by efforts being undertaken since he took over power. As Chiefs, we also expect you to do the same,” said Phale.
The deputy Minister also advised communities in the district to make sure that they plant more trees as a way of mitigating effects of climate change.
“Salima is a disaster prone area and it’s high time we find long lasting solutions to disasters that affect us every year, hence planting more trees would be ideal as we continue working on other solutions,” he said.
