Newly launched tea and powdered milk products by Everyday Products are competing strongly on the market if what we have gathered from customers is anything to go by.
The products, Camilia Gold Tea and White Fields milk are being packaged in Lilongwe but are being sold across the country.
The tea is sourced locally while the milk is imported from Ireland.
Managing Director of the company Tahla Malik disclosed in an interview that the motivation to venture onto the market with the two products came about after seeing a gap on the market.
“Since we started our operations in October last year we have received rave reviews from our customers. Now we have these products across the country and the future looks rosy,” said Malik.
Customers we met at Sana Cash and Carry said the milk is very good because with only two spoons the tea tests better.
“These two products have come at a very good time when money is hard to come by and we are able to drink tea at a very affordbale price,” Christable Juma said.
Another customer Salima based Victor Mandawala said the milk is a must have during breakfast in his house nowadays.
“My kids are now used to whitefileds milk and Camilia tea and it is my wish that this company will be there for a long haul,” said Mandawala.
Dedza based Ruth Kasinja also commended Everyday Products for introducing the two products saying they are competitively priced.
“We are able to have tea on a daily basis because of Everyday Products. The milk is good and their tea is also strong,” said Kasinja.
On the company future plans Malik said they are looking at the export market including India for the tea and will also bring a range of food products to satisfy the needs of Malawians.
Currently the company has got about 40 employees on its payroll but when production is going to be increased many more will be engaged according to Malik.
