The Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority has assured Malawians that stakeholders in fuel sector remain so committed to see the situation normalizing in the supply and distribution of fuel especially Petro.

The letter in our possession signed by the CEO for MERA, Henry Kachaje dated January 11,2022 says among others:

The country has received additional 85 tankers in the past two daysdays, and that over 100 tankers are in transit from different ports of Beira, Dar es Salaam, and Nacala.

It further reads that today 1.5 million litres of Petro will be distributed to various retail outlets.

But Diesel stocks in the country remain sufficient.
