One of Technological companies HITECH has installed Solar propelled electricity at Nsauka Full Primary School in the area of Traditional Authority Khongoni in Lilongwe.
The whole project according to company officials has costed 12, 000 USD. The project involves erecting of high powered solar power pannels, installing the power into classrooms, offices and Teacher’s houses.
Speaking during the commissioning of the project , Minister of Civic Education Education Timothy Mtambo commended HITECH for spending such huge money for the project.
Mtambo said this is historic considering that its first of its kind of this project in the area.
Mtambo said this is kind of technology that Malawi as a country needs to embrace.
Member of Parliament for the area Dr Mphatso Jones Boti urged the community to take care of the project.
Jones while commending the project had no kind words of some people who believe in vandalism.
HITECH scientist Dr Mathias Cyamukungu said their company is aimed at privision of affordable energy solution in Malawi for income generating activities such as mechanics and furture workshops, agro processing grain mill , chick brooder heater , fruit drying, as well as irrigation.
Mtambo has since urged Malawians to support the HITECH Technologies and grow out economy.
