In a bid to reduce costs which Government incurrs for rentals for Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), Malawi Government has set aside K7.2Billion which will be used to build an office park for the graft-busting agency.
Government has already released K200Million for other preliminary works such as designs.
The purpose-built office complex once constructed will help to boost ACB drive towards fighting corruption since the resources currently being diverted to rentals will be used to fighting corruption.
The resources provided are for designing of the building which will commerce this financial year.
Since elected into office, President Chakwera has demonstrated zeal and courage to fight corruption.
He recently presided over the all inclusive anti corruption conference in Blantyre where he stressed the need of joining hands to fight the vice.
