President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia has jetted into this country few minutes ago for a day official visit.
Hachilema vwho is the 7th Zambian President has arrived via Kamuzu International Airport in Lilongwe and is expected to hold bilateral talks with Malawi leader, President Lazarus Chakwera.
Upon his arrival, President Hakainde was welcomed by government officials led by Malawi’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Eisenhower Mkaka.
The two countries do share a lot in common including agricultural activities and boundaries in Mchinji, Mzimba, Rumphi and Chitipa.
This is the first time for Hichilema to visit Malawi since he was elected in August this year as Zambia’s President, and is expected to return back to Zambia this afternoon.
