Former President Dr Joyce Banda has donated K7.9Million to Students who were nearly on the verge of being expelled from school due to non payment of fees.
The three students are Melina Kang’oma, Memory Chisoni and Samson Khembo , all from Kamuzu University of Health Sciences.
“It was my privilege and honor today on behalf of THE JOYCE BANDA FOUNDATION INTERNATIONAL to hand over a cheque worthy K7,950,000 to three needy MEDICAL STUDENTS who have one year to go to graduate as medical doctors at the KAMUZU UNIVERSITY OF HEALTH SCIENCES.
I am truly grateful to Ms Melissa Khushiner Founder of Yamba Malawi who helped us source the money in the USA to donate. We are also grateful to all those who support Melissa so she can in turn support Malawi.
