Wrangles which erupted between Nkhoma Synod and Chewa people in Malawi following anti Gule wamkuku Semantic by Reverend Hamilton Yasin Gama , have been amicably resolved following interventions by the District Commissioner , Dr Palani.
Church of Central African Presbyterian (CCAP) has apologized to Chewa Heritage Foundation, and Chewa Chiefs and Kalonga Gawa Undi and the whole Chewa people in Malawi over the remarks made.
During the preaching , Reverend Gama said God is good all the time because he give rains to sinners like those of Gulewamkulu.
Reverend Yasin Gama himself confirmed to the meeting that he has indeed withdrawn the example given and apologized to Chewa People.
Speaking during the same meeting which took place at the Lilongwe District Commissioners Office, CCAP General Secretary Vasco Kachipapa said it is regrettable that the statement was made.
Kachipapa said Nkhoma synod has been in existence with Chewa People for a long time and both believe in peace all the time.
Senior Chief Lukwa of Kasungu said there is need for Pastors to be very careful and sensitive whenever handling cultural matters.
Lukwa said he was happy all is gone.
Lilongwe District Commissioner Dr Reckfold Palani commended both parties for resolving the differences amicably.
Palani said issues of culture are so sensitive that is why they need to be cautious when dealing with them.
Chair of Lilongwe Chiefs Council Senior Chief Kalumbu has since ordered the synod to pay three goats ; one for TA Chitukula, One for CHEFO and one for His Majesty Kalonga Gawa Undi.

Lukwa has since pledged to inform Kalonga Gawa Undi that the matters have been resolved and that all is well now.
