Malawi Exclusive is reliably informed that Nurses are mobilizing themselves to stage a sit in following the arrest of Ntcheu based nurse Chidawawa Manje.
Malawi Police Service has announced the arrest of Chidawawa Manje, a nurse at Ntcheu District Hospital over cyber harrassment.
A statement signed by national police deputy spokesperson Harry Namwaza said Manje used obscene languange against president Lazarus Chakwera in a WhatsApp conversation.
Chidawawa has since been charged with cyber harrassment.
However social media has been carrying unofficial messages indicating displeasure of nursing body to the extent that they want to demonstrate.
In the first place let these nurses know that Malawi is a sovereign state governed by the Laws of Malawi and its supreme law called constitution.
No one should be taking the laws in their hands just because he or she is a nurse or belongs to any professional group because Malawi constitution recognise Malawi as a such.
In this case let the the Nurse in question face the law by himself.
