President Lazarus Chakwera has urged Malawian citizenry to be prayerful if the country is to succeed in its endeavors.
He was making the remarks in the evening of Friday, August 19,2022 at the end of 2022 National General Assembly of the Malawi Assemblies of God Church that took place at Silver Stadium in the capital Lilongwe.
In his remarks, President Chakwera said the presence of the large crowd at the place in the late hours of the day was not time wasted but rather time invested.
Said President Chakwera: “Your presence at thi place is not time wasted, it is time invested. The fruits of that investment will be evident as we move from this day to tomorrow.
For truly this is a new day, because we live in today, when yesterday is gone, and tomorrow is yet to come. Let us take full advantage of what this day brings.”
Chakwera who joined the evening prayer service a day after his arrival from his foreign trip, told the nation that every citizen must be the light that brings hope to the whole nation, adding that there is more that the country will receive and posses than what it has seen before.
“Everyone’s light shines forward, bringing hope in all of this nation, knowing that there is more to come than what we have ever seen, and I thank God for God’s people who bring hope to their congregations, who bring hope to individuals who are on the verge of hopelessness.
Those who are able to minister God’s word like we have been ministered tonight until we are all able to experience God, even in the midst of that darkness.” Added President Chakwera.
Malawi leader further said the voice to bring light everywhere in the country must not be muted but to emulate God, the creator so that the country sees light in its endeavors.
President Chakwera told the congregation that Malawi is in the right way of fulfilling its vision soon propelled by the exposure of the hidden treasure amongst the citizenry.
