Prophet Patson Gondwe’s of Good News Ministries has reached out to over 304 households with food items amid hunger due to the recent floods that swept through the Southern Region of the country.
The ministry has so far donated maize flour and assorted items, including soap, soya pieces, salt and cocking oil for the people’s relief, particularly in the Shire Valley, which was most devastated.
In an interview on Friday, Prophet Gondwe said the donations were meant to ease food shortages among the targeted vulnerable households.
The Man of God, therefore, encouraged believers to heip the needy with the little available.
Prophet Gondwe started giving in 2014 after his return from SCOAN of the late Prophet TB Joshua. He has been doing it every year.
One of the beneficiaries of the latest drive, a 92-year old Robin Mzunga of Group Village Headman Saiwa in T/A Msamala in Balaka, lauded the Prophet and his ministry for their timely assistance.
The Man of God aiso wishes to reach households with message of hope while offering them with food and other items, and cash.
This is part of the church farming proceeds designed to share with the needy. The drive is also aimed at teaching people the spirit of giving the little the have to others.
The Church targeted households with the elderly, persons with disabilities and other vulnerable people drawn from T/A Msamala, Sawali,and Mbela, among others in Balaka district.
