Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) Governor Dr Wilson Banda on Saturday commissioned a K400Million single storey building which has been built within Club House compound in the Capital City Area 47 in Lilongwe which will be used as a wellness centre.
The Governor said the centre will be used for doing exercises and other aerobics after stresfull days of RBM officials.
Banda said “As you are aware our days are always hectic and stressful that is why we needed this type of centre for our members of staff to be fit,”
Banda said if the members of staff are fit the medical bills will dratically reduce.
RBM Executive Director for Supervision and Regulations Patrick Mhango who is also Sports chair concured with Banda saying RBM started building the structure in 2017 after the need of aerobic activities.
Mhango said the wellness complex will help to ensure that members of staff are physically fit.
