Soldier Lucius Banda commends BLM for the K10 Million donation towards Sand Music Festival

Veterani Musician  popularly known as Soldier Lucius Banda has commended BLM for the sponsorship of K10Million towards this years Sand Music Festival.

Banda who is one of the organisers of the event said BLM has been supporting them for number of times and they are very grateful for the gesture.

He added that people should expect a lot from the music festival and preparedness of the event is underway and they want to make sure that this year’s music festival should be unique.

“Our budget was K106 Million , we have managed to raise funds amounting to over K60 Million .We are very excited because when we knock doors  of several organizations and companies they  are really helping.We will invite international musicians from South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia”,He explained

Banja La Mtsogolo (BLM) has donated K10Million as part of sponsorship  deal for this year Sand Music Festival which is expected to take place from month end of September this year to 2nd October.

Speaking during the function BLM
Country Director Tenawo Bawoke said  his organization has been in the country for 24 years from 1987 and their commitment to meeting the needs of Malawians remains unwavering as such they wish take the festival as an opportunity to remind Malawians about the importance of good health.

Bawoke said the festival, BLM will have a team of dedicated health providers providing health care in form of counselling, screenings for non-communicable diseases and providing first aid treatment not forgetting supply high quality Manyuchi Premium condoms to the festival patrons.

“BLM believes in privacy and confidentiality. We want  to encourage people to talk to us about their different health needs. We have a dedicated toll-free line in BLM for health needs.”,He contributed

He also said that they have launched women’s wellness services covering every stage of woman from menstruation menopause. The services will be provided by experts in 25 clinics across the country.
