Snr Chief Mabilabo salutes MP Chirwa for transforming lives of constituents

Senior Chief Mabilabo of Mzimba district has hailed the Mzimba Luwerezi Member of Parliament (MP), Sam Chirwa for his effort to transform his jurisdiction.

The chief made the remarks over the weekend, during the launch of K3 million, Hon. Sam Chirwa Football League.

Speaking to the gathering and the media, chief Mabilawo described the launched league as a tool of persuading the youths to stop their bad habits apart from unifying his subjects.

While appreciating the youthful MP, Chirwa for initiating number of developmental projects in his area as well as effort to transform the education standards, the chief asked the constituents not to frustrate his vision.

“This has never happened in my area before. I have no option but to salute him for his effort,” he said.

In a random interview, number of the constituents told this publication that their legislator has fulfilled almost number of his promises.

They wondered why he has managed despite the financial crisis the country is passing through due to Ukraine war and Covid-19.

“For the first time in the history of this constituency, we have seen our roads being renovated by the MP, hundreds of learners being on MP’s bursary, public servants being motivated, construction of different public infrastructures within a short period and MP spending most of his time with the constituents in just mentioning a few. We really thank God for giving us this type of MP,” they said.

The constituents also thanked their legislator for the launched, K3 million Football League saying it has come at a right time.

The UTM legislator, Chirwa vowed not to desert his constituents but to fulfill his promises as well as putting the constituency on the map.

According to him, he is there to serve the constituents and not enrich himself out of their expense.

He then urged everyone especially those who regards him as their opponent to work together and start politics in 2025 saying “this time is for development.”

The league will be played in three zones and each zone will get K1 million.
