Mammoth crowd of youths and soccer lovers alike in Fourways Zone, Chikwawa Nkombedzi Constituency have reignited their joy, upon meeting their Member of Parliament (MP) Abida Mia, at the trophy finals match and ceremony last Sunday, at Group Village Headman Mailosi ground.

During the match, Malikopo Reserve FC roasted on hot coals Chambo Rangers FC with 3 goals to nil.
Having emerged victors, the crowd witnessed their MP Abida Mia presenting cash prize amounting K350,000 and jersey to the deserving Malikopo Reserve.
Likewise, on position 2, the crowd witnessed Mia presenting K250,000 cash and jersey to Chambo Rangers FC.
Other teams on the prize money receiving end were as follows: Fourways Reserve on third position who went away with K150,000 and Nido FC on fourth position who received K100,000. Lastly, four teams that were slotted into top 8 received K50,000 each.
Apart from Fourways zone, the final matches will also be played in four zones of the constituency, namely, Therere, Nsenjere, Nkumanidza and Saopa.
In her message during the ceremony, Mia pledged to come up subsequent trophies as a way of promoting the game of football and at the same time keeping the youth busy to stay away from engaging in promiscuous and life endangering behaviour.
Mia who is also Minister of Water and Sanitation, further pledged to continue developing the area with provision of clean water as the key development. She recalled that since 2019 she had drilled and fixed over 72 boreholes in the constituency.

A month ago, the K10 Million Abida Mia Trophy was launched at Saopa ground in Saopa zone.
